Step By Step Guide

Step 1

In a frying pan, sauté the onions, carrots and celery in a little olive oil on low heat until soft. Add the minced beef and brown, season with salt and pepper. Add the Barilla Bolognese Sauce and bring to a simmer, cook on low heat for 10-15 minutes.

Step 2

Pre-heat the oven at 200 degrees. Prepare the béchamel sauce by melting 100 g of butter in a saucepan, stir in the sifted flour and cook over low heat for 2 minutes, whisking constantly. Add milk in a steady stream and bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Cook on low heat until thick. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

Step 3

In a buttered oven-proof baking dish, spread ¼ of the Bolognese sauce with some béchamel sauce and sprinkle with grated parmesan, then arrange a layer of lasagne sheets to cover the bottom of the dish. Continue this process 4 times, alternating pasta and sauce, and finish with a layer of parmesan cheese. Cook in the oven for 20 minutes or until the surface is golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
